Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy aims at helping individuals overcome emotional and psychological difficulties. Psychotherapy involves in-depth exploration of a person's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify underlying causes of distress. It typically involves sessions with a trained therapist who guides the individual through various therapeutic techniques and interventions. Psychotherapy provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to express themselves, and work towards personal growth and healing.

Is Psychotherapy Confidential?

Psychotherapy ensures the utmost confidentiality and security of client files and records, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (2004). This act mandates that all personal health information collected must be treated with strict confidentiality. The trust and confidence of clients are of paramount importance, and psychotherapy takes every measure to uphold this confidentiality and safeguard client records.
